Mary retired from singing in 1994 and since returning from Africa in 2002 she divides her time between her home in the UK and Spain.
She gives the occasional talk, entitled TRAVELS WITH MY HARP, one recently at the O'Carolan Harp Festival in Nobber (Ireland), the birth place of Ireland's most famous harpist, another in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada in May and talks coming up in Ottawa (Oct 4), New York (Ireland House, NYU, Oct 9), Boston College (May 11) and guest at a special fund-raising dinner in Halifax, N.S. ((oct 16).
Boston College is housing Mary's 'Papers' in their famous Burns Music Library. Harvard, across the river from Boston College houses the papers of her first husband, poet Richard Selig.

On tour in the UK 1980s

Mary has just finished putting the finishing touches to five volumes of harp accompaniments featuring her favourite songs. Each volume is accompanied by a CD or DVD.
